Max Computing Questionnaire: Prize Draw – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please read these terms and conditions carefully. By entering this prize draw (Max Computing Questionnaire June – July 2025) you agree that you have read these terms and that you agree to them. Failure to comply with these terms and conditions may result in your disqualification from the prize draw. Information about how to enter and prize details form part of these Terms and Conditions. Entry into this Prize Draw is deemed to be an acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

  1. This Prize Draw is run by Macmillan Education Limited, a company registered in England with company number 01755588 whose registered office is at The Campus, 4 Crinan Street, London, United Kingdom, N1 9XW (the “Promoter”).
  1. To enter this Prize Draw, you must be: (a) resident in a country where it is lawful for you to enter; (b) either a teacher, or parent/guardian, submitting the entry on behalf of their school, or a teacher submitting on their own behalf. The Prize Draw is only open to schools and/or individual teachers within the UK.
  1. This Prize Draw is not open to directors or employees (or members of their immediate families) of the Promoter or any affiliate of the Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants.
  1. The Prize Draw is open for entries between 10th June 2025 and 23:59 on 31st July 2025. This date is subject to change at the sole discretion of the Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to amend the Prize Draw closing date without prior notice.
  1. No purchase is necessary to enter this Prize Draw and will not increase your chances of winning.
  1. You can enter this Prize Draw in the following way: by the successful completion and submission of an online questionnaire. If you are unable to complete this online, contact the Promoter and a hard copy will be provided.
  1. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted or fail to reach the Promoter by the closing date for any reason. Proof of posting or sending is not proof of receipt. Entries via agents or third parties are invalid. No other form of entry is permitted. Please keep a copy of your entry as we will be unable to return entries or provide copies.
  1. By entering, you give the Promoter full permission to use the content of your submission for research purposes. No compensation will be given for the use of submitted materials.
  1. The Prize Draw consists of the following: one class set of Max Computing Printed Student books for a class year of the winner’s choice years 1 – 9, along with digital access to the digital teacher resources to support the class year. Digital access to be available for a duration of 1 year from the date of registration. In addition, the first 20 entries will receive a set of Play Cards which will be sent to the teacher/school.
  1. The Prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  1. The winner is solely responsible for any tax implications arising from winning the Prize.
  1. The Prize shall be awarded as follows: The Promoter will pick one winner at random from all entries. The winner will be notified in writing by 1 August 2025. In the event of a dispute over who submitted the questionnaire, the authorised account holder of the email account used to submit the questionnaire at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant.
  1. The winners will be required to confirm acceptance of the Prize within 30 calendar days. The Promoter will endeavour to ensure that the winner receives the Prize within 40 days of winning. If a winner does not respond within 14 days of being notified by the Promoter that they have won the class set, they will forfeit the Prize and the Promoter reserves the right to choose another winner. The Promoter’s decision is final and the Promoter reserves the right not to correspond on any matter.
  1. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend these Terms and Conditions or amend the Prize as required by the circumstances. As such, the Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the Prize following the commencement of the Prize Draw.
  1. The Promoter shall not be in breach of these Terms and Conditions or liable for any delay in performing, or failure to perform, any of its obligations under these Terms and Conditions if such delay or failure result from events, circumstances or causes beyond its reasonable control.
  1. All personal data submitted by entrants is subject to and will be treated in a manner consistent with the principles set out in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy; accessible at https://www.macmillanenglish.com/privacy-policy. By participating in this Prize Draw, entrants hereby agree that the Promoter may collect and use their personal information for the purposes of running the Prize Draw and acknowledge that they have read and accepted the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.
  1. The Promoter may at its sole discretion disqualify any entrant found to be tampering or interfering with the entry process, or to be acting in any manner deemed to be disruptive of or prejudicial to the operation or administration of the Prize Draw.
  1. Other than for death or personal injury arising from negligence of the Promoter, so far as is permitted by law, the Promoter hereby excludes all liability for any loss, damage, cost and expense, whether direct or indirect, howsoever caused in connection with the Prize Draw or any aspect of the Prize. All activities are undertaken at the entrants’ own risk. An entrant’s legal rights as a consumer are not affected.
  1. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any time does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
  1. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Disputes arising in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
